Don't be afraid to pick this game up though when you complete one level, you unlock 5 more so you can swap around if you ever feel like you're stuck. There are 50 levels to make your way through, along with some optional extras to up the ante and make things even more difficult for those looking for a true mind bender. Easy, right? In theory, yes, but in practice, this ultra-charming puzzler has some impressive tricks up its sleeves and you may find yourself scratching your head more than once. Your goal is to guide the robot to the end point of each level. Gameplay is very simple, you just tap around the screen to move your little mechanical pal, swipe to the sides to rotate levels 360 degrees for a better view, and drag blocks/parts of the levels marked with a circle icon to rearrange levels and create paths forward. For only having one gigantic eye and no voice, the robot is one of the key parts of the game that makes it so memorable thanks to its surprising ability to convey emotion and its super cute stretchy, floppy limbs. Considering the fact that these games are free with ads, the I Love Hues are a stellar deal in the puzzle landscape. There are also six new synth tracks to back up the ambiance, which fans of the original game will no doubt adore.īoth titles include over 900 levels each, so you're looking at a whopping 1,800 mosaics between the two to work your way through at your leisure. The sequel, I Love Hue Too, still hinges on the core elements of color perception and tile rearrangement, but ramps everything up to 11 with the addition of wild new geometric patterns, creating an extra layer of challenge. Variety comes in the form of different tiles being fixed in place for each level, along with the sheer variety of which colors are bleeding into each other. You drag and drop colored tiles around a grid until the spectrum is chromatically perfect. I Love Hue is a minimalistic, psychedelic exercise in logic and color. Phone games should be easy and fun to play and make it worth killing my battery for. I did not have fun trying to figure out what they wanted me to do and jumping back and forth from the “walk-through” video. Overall Aura Adventure was more of a headache to play than I expected. I also had a hard time getting my character to be able to walk through an area to get to the next puzzle. Also maybe adding hints as to where the next puzzle might be and providing context on the puzzles as well.
Wasting my data on trying to figure out what I’m actually supposed to do is not my idea of a fun game and I don’t think I can stress enough how a tutorial really could have helped this game be a bit better for me. The mini games to earn coins are very repetitive and will become boring very quickly in my opinion. This will kill your battery fast if you try to play away from home and get stuck on a long puzzle. Some of the puzzles are a bit longer then I would like to spend on a phone game as well. How about some up up tips, instructions or maybe even something to keep a person more engaged. A proper tutorial would have been way more beneficial and helpful then just quietly watch someone else play the game. The video is just watching someone else play with no sound and trying to figure out what they clicked on so that you can go back to do it as well. You will need these coins to skip hard puzzles or to even watch the walk through video. There are 3 mini games that you can play to earn coins.
There is no tutorial to give you a walk through of what they are expecting you to do, you are just required to jump into it and figure it out.Įven simple jewel games where you just match things up give you hints and tell you what they want you to do. Then next, there is the main menu where nothing is explained. When you first start, all it will ask from you is to choose a language. This is a point and click type of game by Hidden Fun Games.
I downloaded the Android app for Aura Adventure and started playing it, but I must say this was not a fun game to play.
